Leading hydraulic bolting tools manufacturer, Enerpac, has been accredited as the first Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) approved training provider in mainland Europe for Mechanical Joint Integrity. The company’s European training academy at Ede in The Netherlands meets and exceeds all ECITB requirements.
Enerpac supplies a wide range of hydraulic torque wrenches and tensioning tools for bolting applications. The Enerpac European training academy is part of a global academy network providing training courses on all Enerpac’s Industrial Tools. The ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity training is an industry recognized series of courses, providing a method of training and validation of skills in the critical area of bolted pipework connections. Safety is the main driver to learn both theory and practice on hand torque, hydraulic torque tightening and hydraulic tensioning bolted connections.
“I was very impressed by the quality of Enerpac Ede’s training facilities/ academy, which will be of significant benefit to Mechanical Joint Integrity course participants who use them and their employer,” says Jason Riley, ECITB’s International Business Development Manager.
Enerpac chose the ECITB’s Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI) competency training framework following consultation with customers. “In a number of countries Enerpac customers require their professionals to formalize their competency in Mechanical Joint Integrity through the ECITB framework. The ECITB MJI will be the first training within a competency framework offered by Enerpac and is a valuable addition to our training portfolio,” says Eric Joon, Enerpac Training & After Sales Manager EMEA & India.
Since accrediting the Enerpac Academy in Ede, Enerpac has received ECITB accreditation for Enerpac Singapore – and Enerpac Middle East will be audited shortly. These will form the backbone allowing two more training centres: Hosur in India will revert to the Middle East location or to Singapore; and Sydney in Australia, they will revert to Singapore for ECITB training.
