TechnipFMC Inks Multi-Million Deal with Woodside Down Under

Subsea firm TechnipFMC has announced a multi-million deal with Woodside at its Pyxis and Xena fields, located offshore North West Australia. The London-headquartered firm has been awarded an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract worth between £60 to £200 million. TechnipFMC will design, manufacture, deliver and install subsea equipment including subsea production system, flexible flowlines and umbilicals. This contract is the first announced under a five-year EPCI frame agreement between TechnipFMC and Woodside. Specialised subsea solutions provider Trendsetter Engineering has secured a contract to provide TC7 Clamp Connection Systems to oil and gas firm Talos Energy. Talos Energy plans to use Trendsetter’s TC7 clamp connectors and other ancillary equipment on the Bulleit development, which is located in the Gulf of Mexico’s Green Canyon 21 block. Trendsetter will deliver the equipment to Talos next year. Global contractor Dolphin Drilling has secured further work for its Borgland Dolphin semi-submersible drilling rig to start in early 2020. The company has won a contract with AS Norske Shell in Norway to provide rig support for the drilling and completion of a gas producer well on the Knarr field. The work will commence in February following the completion of two other projects for the rig.
