Their design team has developed an easily portable LED task floodlight, designed to reduce beam glare when working in

Less Expensive Alternative to Ex d Indicators with Large Displays

BEKA associates have introduced two less expensive alternatives for flameproof Ex d loop powered indicators featuring large easy to read displays. The new IECEx and ATEX certified Ex eb instruments can be installed in Zones 1 and 2 in exactly the same way as a conventional flameproof Ex d 4/20mA loop powered indicator. They do not have entity parameters and do not require a Zener barrier or galvanic isolator. Both indicators have an increased safety Ex eb GRP enclosure that provides IP66 environmental and impact protection for the field wiring terminals and the encapsulated Ex m and intrinsically safe Ex i display assembly. The enclosure provides similar mechanical and chemical protection as

Pacson Valves

Pacson Valves started trading in 1992 from the company’s original premises in Carnoustie, Scotland; a small east coast town more famous for its world championship golf course than for valve manufacture. However, the area from Arbroath to Dundee had a long history of high precision engineering so proved to be a very good location for Pacson to find the skills necessary to make valves. When the company first started, the product range was focussed on only small bore, high pressure valves for the oil and gas industry. These products found success in the upstream and subsea sectors of the global oil and gas market, which allowed Pacson to grow and expand its product range through the 1990s and e

Straightpoint and Crosby Combine on FPSO Project

PT. Dalaz Teknik Utama used a 12t capacity Radiolink plus Straightpoint (SP) load cell and a Crosby shackle of the same capacity to complete a series of tests during fabrication of a power generator module at a Wasco Energy fabrication yard in Indonesia. PT. Dalaz Teknik Utama overcame limited access and a tight time schedule to complete over 200 force measurement tasks primarily related to lifting equipment, padeyes and monorails. The mechanical handling test and certification-based scope of work was delivered to the project as a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit is prepared for work in the North Sea’s Kraken Oil Field. Each component of the main engine had to be weighe
