Flexibility and Versatility from Elmeridge Cables

Elmeridge Cables Limited has shown once again how flexible, versatile, and knowledgeable the Elmeridge team really are.

Elmeridge have completed yet another bespoke cable, on this occasion it was an aerostat cable for the M.O.D, with an original lead time of eight weeks, Elmeridge delivered the cable earlier than the customer had expected.

Elmeridge have continued to work in many market sectors producing a very wide range of special cables across many industries.

Our four main sectors at present are:

• Marine & Offshore;

• CCTV Pipes &Drains;

• Crane & Lifts;

• MV & HV Cables.

Marine & Offshore

We have been able to supply many different bespoke cables for ROV’s, underwater cameras, tow cables, tether cables, and we can supply many different types of umbilical cables which include power, data, and also fibre optics.

We were able to produce many of these cables with our special polyurethane tested to a depth of 6,000 metres.

Our CTD cables have been very successful in long lengths of up to 10 kilometres and with double armour.

CCTV Pipes & Drains

Since 1987 Pipes & Drains have featured in the Elmeridge range of products, producing a very high standard of camera and pushrod cables for this high-profile sector.

Elmeridge is the only company to have designed a GPR rod in a way that it can be pushed further than any other pushrod cable on the market today without breaking. We have recently produced a fibre optic cable for the use in long culverts under London of up to 5 Kilometres in length.

Many of these cables are produced in Hytrel, Polyurethane, medium and high-density polyethylene.

Crane & Lifts

Elmeridge have supported and advised many companies in this sector to obtain and use the correct cable for the application. There are many different types of crane cables on the market today. We have helped companies extend the life span of their crane cables from between four to six weeks to almost twelve months now, using the correct cable for the application which not only extends the life of the cable, but makes significant savings for the customer. Most of these cables are produced in Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) Thermal Plastic Rubber (TPR) or Polyurethane know as PUR. We have produced many different flatform cables for the lift sector in polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Rubber, and now we are able to produce in silicone to be flame retardant and Halogen free.

MV & HV Cables

We have been producing MV and HV cables since the early 1990’s we were the sole UK representative for Ericsson Power Cables of Sweden, and we have continued to produce in many different voltages from 11KV and up to 132KV. Recently we started to produce 172KV with the possibility of further increases in the future.

We have been working with companies within the renewable energy sector for onshore and offshore cables using all of the following compound’s HDPE, LDPE MDPE, Polyethylene (PE) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Cores are produced in aluminium and copper depending on customer requirements.

We also regularly work with civil and groundwork contractors both large and small and have been successful in obtaining work with 11KV and 33KV cables over many years. Elmeridge Cables Ltd have spent the last thirty-six years as producer and distributor, based in the Southeast of England delivering high-quality cables worldwide at realistic prices with the shortest possible lead times.

In today’s business environment we have had to change with the times. We have had to give much shorter validity on our quotations. This is mainly due to the worldwide situation with rapidly rising costs of materials such as copper and all compounds.
