SPE Makes Its Return to Bergen
The Society of Petroleum Engineers welcomes back the renowned SPE Norway Subsurface Conference, this year returning to Bergen, Norway.
Hosted by Equinor, this annual conference brings together innovators and business leaders that are active in the Norwegian Continental Shelf. This event will provide a platform for the E&P industry to expand and share technical knowledge, connect with innovators and prominent figures, and address the key issues within today’s energy and petroleum sector.
For over 30 years, the event has been a key meeting point for experts in the field. With a focus on technology driven innovation, it has been a source of unrivalled technical content and collaborative learning on a wide range of oil and gas disciplines.
This year’s conference will host an impressive line-up of speakers from the energy and petroleum industry, public sector, and educational space. Norwegian Petroleum and Energy Minister, Marte Mjøs Persen, will open the event who as appointed by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, is tasked with ensuring high value creation through the eco-friendly management of Norway’s energy resources. This significant regional event will provide industry insight through the expert technical programme. Leading research and expertise will be presented covering topics that include; Drilling; Low Carbon Subsurface Contribution to Energy Transition; Reservoir; Production and Well Operations; Completion and Well Intervention; Green and Brown Field Development; and Emerging Ways of Working.
Reconnecting E&P professionals from the NCS and bringing back engagement opportunities is a vital component to the conference with many face-to-face expert discussions and the acceleration of business through direct interaction and networking.
