The RUD INOX-ABA, a stainless-steel version of its proven weldable lifting point range is built for harsh environments where safety and reliability are critical.

Self-made welded padeyes are still used on heavy equipment and machinery, but they often lack certified load limits, design factors, and corrosion resistance – making them unsafe, especially in corrosive environments like food plants, chemical processing, or marine settings.

The INOX-ABA is RUD’s stainless steel version of its proven W-ABA weldable lifting point, specifically designed for harsh working environments. Made from duplex steel 1.4462, it offers high resistance to pitting, corrosion, hot steam, and seawater—without the risk of contamination from flaking coatings. Unlike many lifting points on the market, it features a certified WLL, robust design factors, and an endless circular fillet weld to prevent rust. Its compatibility with both stainless and construction steels make it ideal for use on food-grade tanks, industrial boilers, and oil and gas pipelines.

The INOX-ABA offers the same proven benefits as RUD’s W-ABA series, but with full suitability for harsh environments. It handles loads from any direction, delivers higher WLLs—up to three times the approved load weight in the ring plane—and offers fourfold break protection. Safety checks are simple thanks to internal and external wear indicators, and its duplex steel construction supports electromagnetic crack testing.

Available in 0.8-, 1.6-, and 2.7-ton WLLs and rated for -40°C to +350°C, it’s ideal for use across industrial, marine, and pipeline applications.

The INOX-ABA eliminates the risks of using unsafe, self-made padeyes in harsh environments by providing a long-term, corrosion-resistant lifting solution. With certified safety and durability, it ensures reliable lifting and transport even under extreme conditions.

Notably, the 1.6-ton version is PPE-certified, making it suitable as an anchor point for fall arrest systems—ideal for applications like wind turbines or ocean-going vessels. It’s a true all-rounder for both load handling and personal safety in demanding environments.
