APACHE NORTH SEA AWARDS NEW CONTRACT TO ASCO
ASCO has announced a significant contract award from Apache North Sea that builds upon a positive start to the year for the global oil and gas materials management specialist.
The new contract for the provision of shorebase and logistics services, delivered from ASCO’s Peterhead supply base, extends the relationship between the companies which can be traced back to 2007.
The five-year contract, with the option of two one-year extensions, will help support the long-term sustainability of South Base where 470 people are employed.
ASCO will deliver these services using its integrated logistics management system (iLMS), which captures operational data and provides real-time reporting. Through an online customer dashboard, Apache personnel will have access to live updates of materials and vessels in addition to service and performance related indicators.
This latest agreement follows the announcement in March that ASCO’s Peterhead operation had secured projects worth more than £50million with several oil and gas operators.
Steven Duncalf, Supply Chain Manager at Apache Corporation, said: “Apache’s North Sea activity relies on a seamless and costefficient supply base operation. We are pleased to renew this important working relationship with a valued partner in ASCO and its Peterhead supply base.”
ASCO also provides Apache with managed warehousing services at the company’s D2 complex in Dyce. The new award of shorebase and logistics services means that ASCO continues to offer a fully-integrated service to Apache’s North Sea operations.
