OAASIS to offer a one stop servicing solution
OAASIS, a DistributionNOW company, Great Yarmouth have secured a partnership with Marine Rescue Technologies which enables them to offer a one stop servicing solution to the offshore, wind energy and marine industries.
OAASIS is a leading UK distributor of PPE and MRO equipment supplying clients worldwide, and operating an extensive industrial distribution network for clients in energy sectors. Based in strategic UK locations in Great Yarmouth, Aberdeen and Lowestoft, OAASIS has chosen the latter as the base for the new dedicated facility.
The partnership sees the supply chain provider become England’s only PPE and lifesaving equipment service centre to be able to offer the service and annual recertification for the sMRT and Sea Marshall range of PLBs and Lifejackets. In addition to this, OAASIS also offers fully certified servicing and cleaning of Ursuit SOLAS transfer suits and servicing for a range of fall arrest and PPE equipment including harnesses, lanyards and hardhats.
With full training from MRT, the Service Centre team will be using state of the art equipment to inspect, service and re-certify the PLBs and also make repairs to the lifejackets on-site, greatly reducing transport and lead times for clients.
The Lowestoft based Service Centre complements a range of value-added services already offered by OAASIS, including equipment hire. The growing fleet of lifejackets, transfer suits and PFPE equipment available to hire on short or long term contracts can now be re-certified on-site to ensure each product is inspected and approved for use in the field.
