Global oil and gas solutions provider Tendeka has appointed Paul Guilfoyle as its Sales Engineer for Canada as the independent completions and production optimisation specialist grows its presence in the country.

Paul Guilfoyle joins as Tendeka’s Sales Engineer for Canada

Paul started his career in the North Sea in 1996 with Schlumberger and progressed through a variety of downhole monitoring, sand control and completions positions, which included several years in Canada. Prior to joining Tendeka, he spent four years with BG Group as a Completions Engineer before the company was bought by Shell.

Part of Paul’s role will be to meet existing and potential clients in Calgary to raise awareness of what differentiates Tendeka and its technology from other completions and service companies.

Paul said: “I’ve followed Tendeka since its inception and have always appreciated the technology and how it has evolved over the years. Knowing the Tendeka portfolio and what it can bring to the Canadian market, it was an opportunity too good to pass up.

“Ultimately, I want to help make Canada one of Tendeka’s key multi-product line operating areas and ensure Canadian operators are aware of our reputation as a leader in advanced completions and production optimisation.”

Suzanne Stewart, Tendeka’s Vice President of North & South America, added: “We’re pleased to welcome Paul to the company with his knowledge and experience of the region. The Canadian market, specifically the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, has always been an early adopter for new technology."

“With our combination of current and emergent technologies and competitive cost structure, I believe Tendeka has the expertise and capability to become a trusted contributor and valued partner to the Canadian market.”

In the last 12 months the company has launched PulseEight, a revolutionary wireless intelligent completion technology for the digital oilfield, and Cascade a new sand control technology that improves recovery and the lifetime of water injection wells.

With more than a third of the workforce focused on research and development and specialist facilities including a polymer development lab and manufacturing plants, Tendeka also creates bespoke solutions to the complex well challenges operators face to create value and boost production.
