Great Yarmouth Borough Council to showcase area for investment at the largest oil and gas exhibition
Great Yarmouth Borough Council will once again be promoting the area for energy investment with a stand at Europe’s largest oil and gas exhibition next week.
Offshore Europe, the largest oil and gas conference and exhibition outside North America, attracts in the region of 63,000 industry professionals from more than 100 countries.
As part of important work to support and encourage energy businesses to relocate to, grow within and invest within the borough, Great Yarmouth Borough Council will have an active presence on the Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft stand.
The stand is organised by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Waveney District Council and Norfolk County Council as part of the East of England Energy Zone initiative.
Cllr Graham Plant, the council leader, said: “As England’s offshore energy sector capital, with prospects of sharing in £39bn of energy investment over the next 20 years, it is crucial that the borough has a high-profile presence at this major event to help capture that growth potential and its benefits for communities, including new jobs.”
